The Only Way is Essex- Lauren proves she's no push over to Mark

Lauren shown who wears the trousers in her and Mark’s relationship as she turned up to Mark’s Phat pool party on last night’s episode, despite him telling her she couldn’t come.

Lauren made Mark’s party, which he threw to compete with Joey’s Ream party, memorable for all the wrong reasons  by throwing him into the pool in front of the whole party, after discovering him with a group of girls.

‘What you doing?’, said Mark to Lauren when she turned up to the party, following a phone call from her sister telling her to get to the party asap as it didn’t look like Mark was working. And it wasn’t only her who wondered why Lauren wasn’t at the party, as it became the main topic of conversation, even Mark’s mum Carole questioned why she wasn’t there and suggested to Mark that Lauren help him with his parties.

Lauren told Mark that she had been on her own all day, when Mark replied that he was working, but she said that he was making her look like a mug, and asked him if he was satisfied that he had kept her indoors? ‘Don’t you think I’m going to get bored?’, she said. Mark told her it was his business and asked her why she was shouting so everyone could her their argument. ‘What means more to you, your parties or me’, questioned Lauren. ‘You’, said Mark, ‘but what have I done wrong?’ Lauren replied that people don’t realise how shit it is, then pushed him into the pool and calling him a mug, before walking out of the party with a smug look on her face.

But what did Mark expect when he banned Lauren from attending any of his parties. Earlier in the day Mark warned Lauren not to come, but she said she didn’t see what the issue was?  He told her he has to go to the party and get work done, and said if he was a stockbroker she wouldn’t come to his office while he was on the phone. ‘Don’t come to my workplace’, he said. ‘Having my bird there scares girls off.’ Lauren replied that people would think it was odd she wasn’t there. Mark said people knew who she was and thought she was over it?

The Only Way is Essex- Arg and Lydia's big fight

Unlike Joey, James wasn't having much luck with the ladies on last night's show. One lady in particular, Lydia, who arranged to meet up with James to confront him about the rumour he had cheated on her. An idea planted in her head by friends Lucy, Sam and her sister Billie, which they claimed was a rumour making it's way around Essex.

But poor Arg he didn't stand a chance as Lydia lay into him. 'Who told you that I cheated on you', he said. Lydia replied, 'It doesn't matter.' James said it did and told her he had tried his best and been a good boyfriend.
'Tell me straight if you cheated on me', said Lydia. 'I don't know what you want from me?', replied James. Lydia said that she wanted closure. 'I hate you, you've fucked with my head', she said. 'You're not giving me a chance', replied James. Lydia told him that he's had too many and said he didn't deserve anymore of her time.

Arg went to vent his frustrations out on Mark and Lauren. Telling them that the rumours are bullshit and the only hope he has of him and Lydia getting back together is that she still loves him otherwise she wouldn't have bothered to confront him. But Mark told him to stop moping and to turn things around, 'Fuck it' (the relationship) he said.

Lauren also had a heated discussion with Mark's mum Carole, who she decided to speak to to resolve their issues.
Carole told Lauren that it's hard for her to congratulate them. And that she doesn't really know her, even after ten years. 'Ten years of hell', she said. 'You're expecting too much all of a sudden', she said.

Boy troubles at The Model Agency

There were tears and tantrums on last night's show as drama queen John returned to the agency following his hissy fit last week.

The commercial booker took a meeting with MD John, owner Carole's brother, to discuss why he walked out mid-shift. John said it was becaue Carole told him he had an attitude problem and shouted at him for ordering the wrong flowers. 'You're over-sensitive', says Chris. 'You need to cut Carole some slack, she's working from 9am-1am the following morning and is tired and grumpy.' John replied, 'Carole didn't congratulate me on meeting my sales target'. This is despite Chris having had taken him for a meal to say well done.

Chris tells him to get it together and John returns to work. Carole even takes him out for a drink, nothing like special treatment to wind everyone else up, and calm is restored, well as well as it could be. That is until a discussion about a charity ball in Liverpool turns sour and John tried to steal the limelight once again.

'I'm being undermined. I'm being outed and no-one helps me', cries John. Chris replied, 'Get a grip and listen. It's not about you, it's about Annette (the other commercial booker) stop crying.' He tells him it's not the end of the world, but clearly it is for John.

As Head of Men's Division Christophe says- life at the model agency is like a soap opera. It beats Eastenders anyday.

The Model Agency-How do you solve a problem like John

You'd think John was a successful highly paid the way he acted on last night's The Model Agency.

The money booker, who featured in last week's episode, got in a strop and walked out of the office claiming boss Carole treats him like shit. The drama unfolded as Carole told him he couldn't leave 15 minutes early to see a fashion show, and the following morning told him to 'Turn your frown upside down.' 'It was only a joke', Carole says as she reads an e-mail John has sent explaining why he walked out mid-shift.

According to the agency owner, it's common for John to have a hussy fit during the eight days of show week. 'It's called left-out-itius' she says. Despite this, time after time she welcomes John back with open arms. Anyone would have thought John had it cushy starting work at 9am and leaving at 5.15pm, whereas the show bookers often work till the early hours of the morning during fashion week. If John was hoping for some sympathy he's gone about it the wrong way.

Next week, John finds out his fate, but will he stay or go?

What does it take to be a Premier model? Over five foot five tall, less than a C cup-over and you’re considered big boned, giving up a regular life and under the strict control of management, who ‘nurture’ girls from the age of 14.

Welcome to Premier modelling agency who are the subject of a new reality documentary on CH4- The Model Agency.

The first episode last night saw the agency’s bookers at their most stressed during the start of fashion week last September. The team, who have model looks and build including the office dogs, are all owner Carole’s friends, and the MD her brother and trainee her daughter, talk about a family business.

Under the spotlight was Head of Faces- Annie, who desperately struggled to convince 16-year-old model India to stay in NYC where she was booked for shows. Annie was even sent to the Big Apple to persuade India from pulling out, despite the teen feeling home sick, jet lagged and having been told she was fat. Not really a life for a confused teen who confessed she wasn’t sure what she wanted to do in life having joined with the agency at 12, so she quit, all the while tearful Annie telling her to not take her decision lightly as she may regret it. And just to find what Premier call a ‘top model’, a ‘rarity’ confesses owner Carole.

Then we were introduced to model scout Charlie, who throughout the one hour show is seen bringing in new potentials and meeting with young girls and their parents, who enter into the industry with their eyes wide shut.

‘It’s a game of poke where girls are the product’, says Carole of the business.
